The main task of the Control Investigation Unit is to investigate suspected benefit fraud and to return knowledge from these investigations to the various departments of the Swedish Social Insurance Agency. The investigations range from relatively uncomplicated cases to organized and systematic crime.

Close leadership and a broad mandate

As a unit manager, you are the closest manager to the employees and the operations. You are responsible for leading and driving the daily work based on the department's mission and goals, where the state value base permeates your work. Through your leadership, you convey clear expectations, follow up on goals, and provide your employees with the right conditions to take their responsibility. You have personnel responsibility as well as responsibility for results and follow-up for the teams in your unit. You also represent the Swedish Social Insurance Agency in external collaborations.

Your unit consists of about 20 employees who work with control investigations and are located in Gothenburg. Through close leadership, you create the predictability, security, and sustainability necessary for employees to take their responsibility and meet the need for change. You create an understanding of context, direction, and the goals the department has set and develop the plans your operations need. As a unit manager, you support the area manager and are part of the area's management group, which consists of 5 unit managers where you contribute your expertise, engagement, and good collaboration. You adapt and exercise your leadership in a way that creates conditions for employees to use their judgment and competence.

The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper handling. Therefore, it is important that you, who will work with us, have a high security awareness.

  • have experience of operational management and leadership in similar operations
  • have experience in control operations
  • have experience in coaching leadership and leading through change
  • have experience in production management of case handling
  • have experience in collaboration with authorities
  • have completed our internal competency development program for unit managers.

1 position, permanent, full-time, with start date by agreement. A probationary period may be applicable. In accordance with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's security guidelines, background checks will be conducted in this recruitment. For this position, Swedish citizenship is required.
